1/22/2024 0 Comments Jackbox party pack 3 vs 4This does suffer from a bit of those zeeple dome issues where it has to happen live, but it works surprisingly well for whats its trying to do. Quixort: My 2nd fav game in the pack, its really fun to work together and sort stuff. And I feel like unlike other games, where it can be the players faults for playing wrong, in this game its actually just difficult to answer in a way that makes the game work, especially if its your first time. But as it stands theres not much standing between an 7/10 answer and a 10/10 answer. Feel like theres a lot of ways you could have fixed this, maybe just make it 1-5 so its not so specific, or maybe just let the person decide the number instead of it deciding for you. Drawful makes this work because part of the fun is trying to figure out what that bad drawling is, but with Nonsensory it doesnt matter how well you know that person, if they dont give an accurate answer (which again is pretty hard) then it doesnt matter. Nonsensory: Worst game in the pack imo, the game puts all the weight on the person answering to give an answer that makes sense, which is difficult, and that wouldnt be a problem, but the game is reliant on accurate answers to make guessing fun. They def could have done more with this game, I feel like the whole bartering and buying system is pretty irrelevant, but this one is still my fav in the pack Junktopia: Really like this one! Feels like an obvious sequel to Patently Stupid, but while as that game is very stressful, this game is more casual and fun. Roomerang: this ones fine, I think the voting out part kinda distracts from how hollow this game is, voting out doesnt really matter much and maybe im playing it "wrong" but I feel like the roles dont matter much either, so what youre left with is just voting for the funniest of the group, which is mildly fun, but the prompts dont really give you much I do like the about you mode better since they removed the fill in the blank round, but the game does feel a bit hollow so I wish there was a bit more variety, still very fun tho.Īll in all I feel like this one doesnt really deserve to be on the set, doesnt really set itself apart from the previous incarnations of Fibbage, it does balance out the set a bit but I feel like You Dont Know Jack 3 or Trivia Murder Party probably has more potential than this We could all use a little laughter in our lives lately.Fibbage 4: Its fibbage, I dont think its main mode is any better or worse than its previous versions. Suffice it to say, while Jackbox games aren’t optimized for online play, the company very much wants to help you out.įurthermore, there’s a Jackbox Party Pack 7 on the way, so I wouldn’t count online play out entirely just yet. Hofer offers video tutorials and step-by-step instructions for streaming on both Twitch and YouTube, which are worth checking out. If you have a means of sharing your screen via a video chat app or streaming online, you can get a Jackbox Party Pack game going online without too much trouble. The Tom's Guide staff has recently experimented with Discord’s Go Live feature, which also works. In a post entitled “ How to Play Jackbox Games with Friends and Family Remotely,” Jackbox's own Brooke Hofer offered a number of solutions, including Zoom, Google Hangouts and Steam’s extremely convenient Remote Play Together option. The good news is that the Jackbox team is well aware of this limitation, and has offered some clever solutions to overcome it. Granted, Jackbox games were designed to bring people together in person, but there are still certain situations (a global pandemic, for example) where that’s simply not possible. If the Jackbox Party Pack has one major stumbling block, it’s that playing together in real life is ridiculously simple, but playing online can be complicated.
